Currently in Maine, the law states that any individual with a long standing seizure disorder is eligible to drive after being 3 months seizure free while on medication. At the discretion of the BMV periodic medical updates may be required, however doctors are not required to report Epilepsy to the BMV.
Some cases may have to go through a longer period of time seizure free before they can obtain their license. If denied a license, or license is suspended due to medical reasons, an individual has 10 days to appeal the decision.
